Our Chain Lift Stackers consist of the following components:
Frames - The frames are made of steel fabrications designed to support the lift mechanism, side joggers, front stop carriage, and platform guides.
Side Joggers - Each side jogger is mounted on a carriage that is manually positioned by means of a rack and pinion adjustment to align the blades with the sheet width being processed. The jogger blades are made of a glass-filled phenolic plastic and are designed to telescope vertically to 3" to allow for variations in skid heights. Each blade is equipped with an air-powered vibrator to assure even side jog.
Front Stops - The front stop consists of a carriage with a pair of individual telescoping stop blades for each pile. It includes a manual rack and pinion adjustment with a calibrated scale to show the position of the carriage relative to the back stops (20" minimum, 120" maximum).
Lift Mechanism - The lift mechanism consists of a 4" deep fabricated platform, four lift chains, one at each corner of the platform, drive shaft, sprockets, and a self-locking 5-HP gearmotor with an electric brake. The platform speed is 3-1/2 inches/second fully loaded. If the application allows for slower travel speeds, we can substitute the chain lift with a hydraulic scissors lift.
Guards - Includes chain guard for the Piler table chains and all exposed motors.
Auto Pile Lowering Switch - Includes a proximity switch and mounting bracket to maintain proper pile height in the jogger system.
Operator Controls - Includes an operator control station for the Piler end of the machine with “Emergency Stop” interlock to the auxiliary equipment. Also includes pile “UP” and “DOWN”, table “RESET”, and auto pile drop “ON/OFF” selector switches.
Machine Controls - Includes “UP” and “DOWN” limit switches and one safety limit switch for the counterweights. Includes one “SAFETY UP” photo eye to prevent equipment damage if the jogger mechanism is over extended. Includes motor starters and relays.
PLC Logic - We incorporate a Programmable Logic Controller on all of our machines. The addition of a PLC gives us complete control of the entire line and allows us to perform Automated Discharges at speeds up to 400 FPM.
